Russian gas flows via Ukraine to EU normal on Friday-Slovak pipeline

PRAGUE: Russian natural gas flows to the European Union through Slovakia via Ukraine were running normally on Friday, Slovak pipeline operator Eustream said on its website.

Poland's gas importer said on Thursday it had received only about half of the gas from Russia that it had asked for on Wednesday while Slovak importer SPP saw a drop of approximately 10 percent for a second day running on Thursday.

Eustream also said on Thursday it had observed lower amounts of gas nominated for shipments by its trading partners but that gas flows through its system were in line with those declared volumes.

Eustream's website showed 61.1 million cubic metres of gas had been nominated for Friday, in line with previous days this week.
