SYDNEY: The Australian dollar leapt half a US cent on Thursday after a surprisingly strong jobs report led markets to price in more chances of a rate hike in a 12-month horizon.
The Aussie jumped as far as $0.9216, from $0.9260 before the data to be last at $0.9211. It hit a five-month low of $0.9113 on Wednesday.
