NEW YORK: The euro climbed to a fresh three-week high on Thursday as risk tolerance rose after Greek Prime Minister George Papandreou won a parliamentary majority in favor of an implementation law for a five-year austerity plan required under an EU/IMF bailout package.
The euro rose to $1.4526, before slipping slightly to $1.4517, still up 0.6 percent on the day, according to Reuters data.
