KARACHI: Thailand and Pakistan Chamber of Commerce (TPCC) honoured leading businessman Arif Suleman for his services to promote Pak-Thai trade, economic, cultural and tourism exchanges.
In ceremony at the Pakistan Embassy in Bangkok, Secretary General Zahid Rathore and other TPCC members highlighted efforts in bringing the two business communities closer and promoting people-to-people
links, says a message received from Bangkok.
Suleman, a Karachi-based CEO of several companies recently took over as Chair of Pak-Thai Business Council at the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI).
Secretary General Thai-Pakistani Chamber, Zahid Rathore, presented a special shield to Suleman at a ceremony attended by Pakistan Ambassador to Thailand Sohail Mahmood who said the TPCC award was an acknowledgement of his dedicated efforts, recognized by both governments.
Suleman in 2006 was appointed Honorary Trade Advisor of Thai Ministry of Commerce in Pakistan.
Mahmood spoke of initiatives to strengthen business-to-business and people-to-people ties between the two countries.
