ISLAMABAD : Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza would perform the functions of the President of Islamic Republic

ISLAMABAD: Speaker National Assembly Dr. Fehmida Mirza would perform the functions of the President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan under Article 49(2) of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan w.e.f. 27th June 2011.
The Speaker, National Assembly will act as President till the President or Chairman Senate returns to Pakistan from their official visits abroad.
