CHICAGO: Chicago Board of Trade corn, wheat and soybean futures were expected to extend their overnight losses in Chicago trading on Thursday, traders said.
CBOT corn and wheat were expected to open 15 to 20 cents per bushel lower and soybeans 10 to 15 cents lower.
In overnight electronic trading, corn futures were down 9 to 11 cents; wheat down 1-1/2 to 2 cents and soybeans 1 to 2 cents lower.
Traders attributed the expected declines in CBOT grains in Chicago trading to a soaring dollar, a 4.5 percent slump in crude oil futures and a drop in equities futures.
