LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Monday witnessed bearish trend by losing 45.46 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5698.55 points and closed at 5653.09 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 1.317 million shares to close against previous turnover of 1.907 million shares, showing a downward slide of 590,200 shares. While, out of the total 92 active scrips 14 moved up, 20 shed values and 58 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Hascol Petroleum Limited, Pakistan Petroleum Limited and Samin Textile Mills Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 3.31, Rs 2.02 and Re 1.00 respectively.
Shell Pakistan Limited, Nishat Mills Limited, and Oil and Gas Development Company Limited lost their per share value by Rs 17.90, Rs 4.49 and Rs 1.83 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Fauji Cement Company Limited with 345,500 shares, Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 262,500 shares and Pakistan Petroleum Limited with 205,200 shares.
