LAHORE: The Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearsh trend by losing 14.85 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5669.09 points and closed at 5654.24 points.
The market's overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 2.704 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.777 million shares, showing a downward slide of 1.072 million shares. While, out of the total 94 active scrips 30 moved up, 15 shed values and 49 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Shell Pakistan Limited, Nishat Mills Limited and Pakistan State Oil Company Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 13.54, Rs 5.60 and Rs 5.50 respectively.
Mari Petroleum Company, Engro Corporation Limited and Dawood Hercules Corporation lost their per share value by Rs 17.33, Rs 10.54 and Rs 3.76 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included Lafarge Pakistan Cement with 1.341 million shares, The Bank of Punjab Limited with 352,000 shares and Dewan Farooq Motors Limited with 209,500 shares.
