SOUTHAMPTON: Sri Lanka were 334 for five in their second innings in reply to England's first innings 377 for eight declared, a lead of 141 runs, at tea on the fifth day of the third Test at the Rose Bowl here on Monday.
Thilan Samaraweera was 87 not out and Prasanna Jayawardene six not out after Sri Lanka captain Kumar Sangakkara made 119.
England lead the three-match series 1-0.
