LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange here Wednesday witnessed bearish trend by losing 50.74 points, as the LSE Index-25 opened with 5158.88 points and closed at 5108.14 points.
The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 3.639 million shares to close against previous turnover of 3.575 million shares, showing an upward move of 63,800 shares. While, out of the total 122 active scrips 28 moved up, 27 shed values and 67 remained equal.
The Major Gainers of the day were Kohat Cement Company Limited, Saritow Spinning Mills Limited and Brothers Textile Mills Limited by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 2.91, Rs 0.60 and Rs 0.57 respectively.
Dawood Hercules Corporation, Crescent Steel & Allied Mills Limited and The Hub Power Company lost their per share value by Rs 2.99, Rs 2.41 and Rs 1.03 respectively.
Top three Volume Leaders of the day included NIB Bank Limited with 961,500 million shares, Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 811,500 share and The Bank of Punjab Limited with 415,500 shares.
