146 shopkeepers fined for violating official price list

imageKARACHI: Teams comprising assistant commissioners and district magistrates in their campaign against profiteers on Sunday fined 146 shopkeepers of Rs.1,57,950 for violating official price list for edible items issued daily by the commissioner office.

The shopkeepers found fleecing local consumers mainly pertained to Gulberg, SITE Area, Shah Faisal Colony, Civil Lines, Jail Road and Gulshan e Iqbal.

Those fined included green grocers, milk sellers, grocers, flour millers, meat sellers and those associated with poultry business.
