LAHORE: Bearish trend prevailed in Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 38.75 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4329.40 and closed at 4290.65 points. The market's overall situation, however, corresponded to an upward trend as it remained at 958,300 shares to close against previous turnover of 875,000 shares, showing an upward move of 83,300 shares. While, out of the total 85 active scrips only 7 moved up, 54 remined equal with 24 shed values.
Kot Addu Power Company and Askari Bank Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.11 and Re 0.42 respectively.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Engro Corporation Limited and Engro Foods Limited lost their per share value by Rs 5.02, Rs 5.00 and Rs 3.24 respectively.
The Volume Leader of the day included Pakistan International Airline Corporation with 227,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 134,500 shares and Askari Bank Limited with 110,000 shares.
