imageHARARE: Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bowl after confirming that their third and final one-day international against Pakistan would go ahead on Saturday.

The series decider had been cast into doubt after Zimbabwe Cricket failed to meet an August 28 deadline to pay their players all outstanding salaries and match fees.

Zimbabwe's players threatened to boycott the third ODI if they were not paid by 5pm (1500GMT) on Friday, and although that did not happen it is believed that ZC have set the chain in motion.

Brendan Taylor's side therefore agreed to take the field on Saturday, but have promised further boycott threats if there is no progress ahead of the first Test on Tuesday.

Zimbabwe made two changes to the side that lost the second one-day international by 90 runs, replacing Timycen Maruma and Brian Vitori with Sikandar Raza and Shingirai Masakadza.

Pakistan went into the match unchanged as they looked to avoid what would be their first ever one-day series defeat to Zimbabwe.

Teams:

Zimbabwe: Brendan Taylor (capt), Hamilton Masakadza, Vusi Sibanda, Sikandar Raza, Sean Williams, Malcolm Waller, Elton Chigumbura, Prosper Utseya, Shingirai Masakadza, Tinashe Panyangara, Tendai Chatara.

Pakistan: Misbah-ul-Haq (capt), Nasir Jamshed, Ahmed Shehzad, Mohammad Hafeez, Umar Amin, Sarfraz Ahmed, Shahid Afridi, Abdur Rehman, Junaid Khan, Saeed Ajmal, Mohammad Irfan.
