LAHORE: Lahore Stock Exchange on Tuesday witnessed bullish trend by gaining 74.43 points as the LSE-25 Index opened with 4320.43 and closed at 4395.39 points.
The market's overall situation, however, did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.218 million shares to close against previous turnover of 7.026 million shares, showing a downward slide of 3.808 million shares. While, out of the total 80 active scrips, 20 moved up, 37 remained equal with 23 shed values.
Nishat Mills Limited, PakGen Power Limited and Pakistan Tele Communication Limited were major gainers of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Rs 1.60, Rs 1.02 and Re 0.86 respectively.
Muslim Commercial Bank Limited, Pakistan State Oil Company Limited and Engro Coperation Limited lost their per share value by Rs 10.95, Rs 5.65 and Rs 2.61 respectively. The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 658,500 shares, NIB Bank Limited with 639,500 shares and Fauji Cement Company Limited with 526,000 shares.
