ISLAMABAD: Caretaker Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Arif Nizami paid a farewell call on Prime Minister Justice (R) Mir Hazar Khan Khoso here at Balochistan House on Tuesday evening.
The Prime Minister appreciated the Minister for Information for effectively disseminating and putting across the caretaker government's point of view to the masses and the role of a bridge that he played between the caretaker government and the media during the interim period.
While talking to the Minister for Information, the Prime Minister said that the primary task of the caretaker government was the holding of free, fair and transparent elections in the country and thanked God that the task had successfully been accomplished.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister said that Pakistan had achieved a historic and democratic milestone by successfully effecting the smooth transition of power from one civilian government to another and this had not only been appreciated across the country but around the world as well.
The Minister for Information also appreciated the Prime Minister's leadership during the caretaker set-up.
