Govt to make neutral, acceptable caretaker set-up: Mehreen
ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly (MNA) of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) Mehreen Anwar Raja on Monday said that the government will make neutral caretaker set-up which would be acceptable for all parties.
Talking to a private television channel, she said that the democratically elected government would foil every attempt to derail the democratic process.
She urged all the political parties to help hold elections on time and support democracy.
The MNA said that PPP always respected the national institutions, adding the current democratic government had strengthened the constitutional institutions in the country.
PPP always rendered the sacrifices to strengthen the democracy in the country, adding all political parties should play their role in this regard, she maintained.
Mehreen was of the view that foreign elements were involved in de-stabilizing the country, specially the economic hub of Karachi and Balochistan.
She said that the law and order situation in the country would be restored soon and it would not become a hurdle in holding elections.
Mehreen hoped that PPP would win the next general elections on its performance.
She assured that the government is fully committed to hold elections on time in transparent manners.
