China buys US corn and soybeans for second day in a row

The deals follow a USDA announcement on Tuesday that China bought 1.762 million tonnes of corn, its biggest single-day US corn purchase, and 129,000 tonnes of soybeans.
Trump on Tuesday ordered an end to Hong Kong's special status under US law to punish China for what he called "oppressive actions" against the former British colony.

October raw sugar was up 0.2 cents, or 2%, to 11.55 cents per lb at 1151 GMT, after sliding to a low of 11.27 cents on Tuesday.
September New York cocoa rose $11, or 0.5%, to $2,166 a tonne.

Brent crude futures were up 19 cents, or 0.4%, at $43.09 a barrel as of 0343 GMT, and U.S. West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures rose 17 cents, or 0.4%, to $40.46 a barrel.
