Gold edges above $1,800/oz, propped up by virus woes

Spot gold rose 0.2% to $1,805.83 per ounce by 10:42 am EDT (1442 GMT). US gold futures fell 0.2% to $1,810.20.
The World Health Organization (WHO) warned the pandemic would worsen if countries failed to adhere to strict precautions, as global cases surpassed 13 million.

Raw sugar dips to two-week low, cocoa and coffee also down

October raw sugar slipped 0.12 cents, or 1.0%, to 11.46 cents per lb by 1140 GMT after dipping to a two-week low of 11.42 cents.
September New York cocoa slid $35, or 1.6%, to $2,158 a tonne.

Export pace from Malaysia during July 1-15 is expected to improve with the market pegging a 9-10% monthly fall.
The contract climbed to an intraday high of 3.09% and touched its highest level since March 5.

Corn, wheat soybeans up after US crop report misses forecasts

Chicago Board of Trade most-active corn was up 0.3% at $3.37-1/2 a bushel at 1056 GMT, having fallen more than 2% .
Soybeans were up 0.4% at $8.78-3/4 a bushel. Wheat rose 1.0% to $5.30 a bushel after also falling on Monday.

South Korea's MFG buys about 131,000 tonnes corn-trade

The first, of about 66,000 tonnes, was bought at about $188.99 a tonne c&f plus a $1.25 a tonne surcharge for additional port unloading, the traders said.
The seller was believed to be trading house Olam, with arrival in South Korea around Nov. 25.

TOCOM falls on growing US-China tensions, surging virus cases

TOCOM's rubber contract for December delivery finished 0.5 yen lower at 156.3 yen ($1.46) per kg.
The most-active rubber contract on the Shanghai futures exchange for September delivery fell 10 yuan to finish at 10,600 yuan ($1,511) per tonne.
