ISLAMABAD: President Asif Ali Zardari Monday Night hosted farewell dinner for the outgoing Military Secretary Brigadier Syed Muhammad Adnan.
The dinner was attended among others by Secretary General to the President M. Salman Faruqui, Spokesperson to the President Senator Farhatullah Babar, some federal secretaries, senior officials and staff of the President's Secretariat.
Speaking on the occasion, the President lauded the services of outgoing Military Secretary Brig. Muhammad Adnan and wished him every success in his new assignment.
Brigadier Muhammad Adnan has been posted as Brigade Commander after having served as Military Secretary to the President for about two years. Prior to that Brig. Adnan has also served as Deputy Military Secretary to the President.
Brigadier Muhammad Adnan, while speaking on the occasion thanked the President for the kind gesture and hosting farewell dinner for him and his family despite so many other pressing engagements of the President in these times.
He also thanked his colleagues at the President secretariat and said that their participation in the farewell dinner for him was a testimony for the respect for him and his family, which he greatly valued and honoured.
The President, on the occasion also presented Brigadier Muhammad Adnan a souvenir and met his family and children.
Brigadier Muhammad Adnan has been replaced by Brigadier Muhammad Aamer as Military Secretary to the President.
