CBOT soyabean futures sink

Chicago Board of Trade soyabean futures dropped on Monday as concerns about livestock feed demand dragged down soyameal futures prices, traders said.

CBOT May soyabeans settled down 9-1/4 cents at $8.54-1/4 per bushel. New-crop November soyabeans closed down 5-1/4 cents at $8.70-1/2 per bushel.

CBOT May soyameal set a contract low of $2.88 per short ton and ended down $3.90 at $288.60 per short ton. May soyaoil fell 0.51 cent to 26.90 cents per pound.
