  • Suicide bomber targeted an Eagle Squad vehicle and blew himself up

(Karachi) A policeman embraced martyrdom while three others were injured in a reported suicide attack near Lora Lai Medical College in Quetta on Monday. A militant was also killed in the incident.

According to media reports, personnel of the police force's Eagle Squad tried to flag down two men riding a motorcycle. One of the  accused opened fire on the police team, while the other blew himself. As a result, one policeman lost his life on the spot and three others suffered critical injuries. The security personnel retaliated, killing another militant.

Meanwhile, Baluchistan Chief Minister Jam Jamal Khan condemned the suicide attack and expressed grief over the loss of precious life.  He said the police personnel fought bravely and all resources will be utilised to curb terrorism in the province.

This a developing story.
