RECORDER REPORT: PSX close of day

KARACHI: BRINDEX-30 closed on the upper side on Tuesday at 17,198.10 points with a positive change of 10.68 and volume of 56,183,500 shares. High and Low were 17,258.50 and 16,996.65 respectively. Of 30 companies traded, 15 were up, 12 were down and 3 was unchanged.

Total volume traded in the market was 88,807,620 shares. Total companies traded were 341 of which 183 were positive, 137 were negative and 21 were unchanged.

Cement was the top traded sector with total traded volume of 25,643,700 shares. It was followed by Commercial Banks with a total traded volume of 8,058,800 shares.

BR Sectors Position:

The three top traded companies were Maple Leaf Cement Factory Ltd with a volume of 17,677,000 and price per share of 14.15 (-0.59), K-Electric Limited with a volume of 4,597,500 and price per share of 3.26 (0.02), Fauji Cement Company Limited with a volume of 2,922,000 and price per share of 12.63 (0.01).

The top three advancers were Nestle Pakistan Limited with a volume of 40 and price per share of 5,750 (107.24), Colgate Palmolive (Pakistan) Ltd with a volume of 40 and price per share of 2,138.85 (101.85), Service Industries Ltd with a volume of 1,900 and price per share of 496.97 (16.37).

The top three decliners were Sanofi-Aventis Pakistan Limited with a volume of 1,000 and price per share of 470 (-24.25), Murree Brewery Co Ltd with a volume of 300 and price per share of 688.45 (-6.54), Pakistan International Container Terminal Limited with a volume of 400 and price per share of 137.55 (-4.31).
