LONDON: European stocks eased in cautious opening deals on Thursday, amid hopes that European Union finance ministers would approve a boost in their firewall against future financial turmoil.
London's FTSE 100 benchmark index of leading shares fell 0.11 percent to 5,802.88 points, Frankfurt's DAX 30 slid 0.26 percent to 6,980.09 points and in Paris the CAC 40 shed 0.12 percent to 3,426.08.
