HONG KONG: Hong Kong shares jumped 1.37 percent on Tuesday morning after US Fed chief Ben Bernanke indicated the bank would continue with its loose monetary policy.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index gained 282.36 points to 20,951.22, on turnover of HK$26.39 billion ($3.38 billion).
