HAFIZABAD: Senior Federal Minister Ch. Pervaiz Elahi on Saturday said that present government would complete its constitutional tenure and election would be held on time.
Talking to newsmen at the wedding ceremony of son and daughter of former MNA PML(Q) leader Ch. Mehdi Hassan Bhatti at Burj Dara, he said that alliance with the PPP was made after deliberation in the larger interest of democracy and the country.
He said that alliance with the PPP would remain intact and seat to seat adjustments would be made in the next general election.
He claimed that during his five year tenure as chief minister, unprecedented development projects were completed in Punjab and the law and order situation was much better.
PPP Central Leader Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Former provincial minister and PML(Q) leader Ch. Aamir Sultan Cheema and parliamentary leader in the Punjab Assembly Ch. Zaheer-ud-din also spoke on the accasion.
A number of political figures, social workers and businessmen across the province attended the wedding ceremony.
