ISLAMABAD: Newly appointed Chief of the Air Staff, Air Chief Marshal, Tahir Rafique Butt called on Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani here at the PM House on Tuesday.
The Prime Minister extended his best wishes to Air Chief and said that his elevation as Chief of the Air Staff manifested a smooth transition based on merit.
The Prime Minister expressed confidence that Pakistan Air Force would defend the frontiers of the country in the best manner under his command.
The Air Chief thanked the Prime Minister for reposing confidence in him and said that it would be his utmost endeavour to come up to the expectations of the nation in the defence of the country.
