Malik congratulates police for making foolproof security arrangements

ISLAMABAD: Minister for Interior Rehman Malik has congratulated the Islamabad Police for making foolproof security arrangements for the federal capital on the occasion of President Asif Ali Zardari's address to the Joint Session of the Parliament.

Islamabad Administration and Police ensured foolproof security for the joint session.

Interior Minister along with Inspector General of Police and SSP visited the control room specially established in National Data Base and Registration Authority (NADRA) headquarters and monitored the security arrangements through CCTV cameras.

He further directed police to beef up security and enhance patrolling.

The Minister visited different areas of the federal capital especially Red Zone, D Chowk, Blue Area and other places to check the security arrangements.

On the direction of the Interior Minister aerial surveillance and checking mechanism at the entry and exit points effective checking system was planned.

Traffic Police arranged special routes for the citizens and that was publicized on Pakistan Television.
