ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Moula Bakhsh Chandio said on Friday that government would foil all conspiracies against democracy with support of people. He said Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) is the custodian of constitution, democracy and rights of people.
Talking to media at the Parliament House, he said that PPP will foil all conspiracies against democratic system in the country. He said so-called political pandiths predicted the fall of democratic government but their wishes did not materialize.
He said PPP would win the next election with the support of the masses. The Minster said the government has chalked out multi-prong strategy to overcome energy crisis.
To a question, he said PPP has long history of sacrifices for the rule of law, democracy, constitutional supremacy and protection of people's rights.
He said PPP leaders Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Benazir Bhutto Shaheed have sacrificed their lives but did not compromise on rights of people.
To a question, he said Zardari is the only President, who returned his powers back to the Parliament.
He said that President Asif Ali Zardari's fifth address to the joint session of Parliament would be a landmark achievement of the democratic government.
