KARACHI: Advisor to Chief Minister Sindh on Media, Ms. Sharmila Faruqui, has said that 18th, 19th and 20th amendments in the constitution, consensus on NFC Award, Empowerment of Women, unopposed success in Senate elections for Chairman and Deputy Chairman are some of the successes of the present democratic government.
This she stated while talking to a delegation of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) in Toronto, says a statement issued here on Thursday.
It said that the delegation consisted of PPP Toronto President Daniel Ibrahim, Secretary Information Shehzada Benazir and Vice President Saad Raj.
The office bearers of PPP Toronto expressed their full confidence in the leadership of President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister, Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, said that it was a matter of pleasure that overseas Pakistani had got the right of vote and they would be able to cast their votes in next general elections.
On this occasion Ms. Sharmila Faruqui told the office bearers of PPP Toronto about on-going development projects of present democratic government.
She added that the present democratic government has successfully completed four years and would continue to serve the people in future as well.
