Zardari seeks pre-arrest bail from IHC after NAB files another reference

Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairperson Asif Ali Zardari filed on Wednesday a petition in the Islamabad High Court (IHC) seeking pre-arrest bail in Harish and Company case.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) have summoned the PPP leader on May 9 regarding the illegal awarding of a water supply contract to the private company. The bureau has filed its reference against the PPP leader as part of an ongoing investigation of the money laundering through fake accounts case, local media reported.

Zardari's sister Faryal Talpur, Omni Group’s Chairman Anwar Majeed and his sons, and former Pakistan Stock Exchange chairperson Hussain Lawai are among others being investigated in the fake accounts case by the NAB.
