LONDON: Europe's main stock markets made robust gains at the start of trading on Tuesday, with London's benchmark FTSE 100 index up 0.62 percent to 5,929.25 points after strong advances for Asian indices.\
Frankfurt's DAX 30 index advanced 0.81 percent to 6,957.25 points and in Paris the CAC 40 won 0.53 percent 3,508.59 as investors looked ahead to a rate-setting meeting of the US Federal Reserve.
