Court summons Wajid Zia in reference against Dar

ISLAMABAD: The Accountability Court (AC) of Islamabad on Wednesday summoned Joint Investigation Team head Wajid Zia to record his statement in a reference against former finance minister Ishaq Dar for having assets beyond his sources of income.

Accountability Court Judge Muhammad Bashir heard the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau against Ishaq Dar and other co-accused.

The defence counsel concluded his cross-examination of prosecution witness Karamat Ali, an accountant of Hajveri Trust.

The three co-accused including Saeed Ahmed, Naeem Mehmood and Mansoor Rizvi were present in the court.

The case was adjourned till April 24.
