ISLAMABAD: Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday dismissed the petition against Asad Hashmi advocate, an alleged rape accused filed by Sidra Riaz, a law student.
The applicant filed the petition seeking cancellation of bail of alleged rape accused Asad Hashmi granted by a sessions court.
According to details Shams Colony Police registered a case against Advocate Asad Hashmi under section 376 PPC for allegedly raping Sidra - a law student at International Islamic University Islamabad. She, in her complaint, blamed that Hashmi, forcefully raped her at a flat in Sector H-13.
The petition was listened by the Justice Mian Gul Hassan. The respondent Asad Hashmi counsel contended before the court that the FIR registered against his client was fake and aimed to harass him for various purposes.
The court after hearing the arguments from both parties dismissed the plea seeking cancellation of Asad Hashmi’s bail.
