KARACHI: The Sindh High Court (SHC) on Wednesday approved bail plea of the former Additional Inspector General (AIG) of Sindh Police’s Finance department, Fida Hussain, against a surety of Rs. 0.1 million. The court while hearing the bail plea of former AIG Finance, granted him bail in petrol bills’ corruption reference.
The court directed him to submit surety of Rs0.1 million and it also directed him appear on every hearing.
Fida Hussain stated that court had acquitted him over the lack of evidence in the petrol bills’ corruption reference, but the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) had filed another reference against him.
The trial court had sent former AIG to jail on judicial remand.
