Massive loans taken by previous govts open up many challenges for PTI govt: Ali Zaidi

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Maritime Affairs, Ali Zaidi on Tuesday said massive loans taken by previous governments had opened up many challenges for Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf's government.

Pakistan was bearing heavy burden of loans taken by the last regimes of Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) during their tenures. The huge payable amount had created immense trouble for the present government, the minister stated while talking to a private news channel programme.

The minister said people were facing price hike due to the bad policies of PPP and PML-N governments.

The PTI government, he said, was taking all important measures to clear debt besides putting the country on path of speedy progress.
