Tree plantation drive kicks off

HYDERABAD: Tree plantation drive was launched in the district on Friday under which more than thirty thousand saplings would be planted in different villages of the district.
Different governments and non-governmental institutions have started taking part in campaign after inaugurating the spring season tree plantations drive by Deputy Commissioner Sanghar Nisar Ahmed Memon, according to a handout issued by the district information office.
The DC informed that in this regard a non-government organization (NGOs) “HANDS” during the current spring season had planned planting more than 30000 saplings in different villages of the district which definitely would create positive impact on environment.
HANDS’s District Center Executive Manger Major Mansoor Jabbar Memon told that his organization would plant more than 30000 saplings in different villages of the district.
He appreciated to the Imran Ali Bhutto, the Forest Department district Officer for his cooperation. He said that planting more trees is a must to curb pollution in the country.
