SWAT: Deputy Commissioner Swat Saqib Raza Aslam Wednesday took notice of the lethargy of a polio team for ignoring two children under the age of five during the on-going anti-polio vaccination drive.
Chairing a meeting to review the three-day campaign, he said a child in UC Kota was left without being administered anti polio vaccine due to the negligence of EPI technician Fazal Amin and class-four employee Fazal Zada. Similarly teachers Fazal Karim and Maaz were responsible for not administering polio drops to another child in UC Bishigram, he added.
The Deputy Commissioner directed DHO Swat and DEO (M) Swat to initiate action against the officials concerned. He said that those who would shirk of their responsibilities in the polio campaign would be dealt with strictly.
