Wheat farmers suggested ensuring pre harvesting arrangements     

LAHORE: Wheat crop has entered into a final stage so farmers should arrange threshers, tractors, tarpaulin and combined harvesters before the start of wheat harvesting.

Punjab Agriculture department experts told APP on Sunday that this year in February and March rain occurred more than usual routine so there was a possibility of bit delay in wheat harvesting.

Experts suggested growers to harvest wheat crop when it fully gets ripe and added that growers should stop harvesting in case of rain and continue when rain stops.

Farmers have also been advised to mention the name of wheat variety while filling wheat bag. Agriculture experts said that growers should also make proper arrangements to stock their commodity.
