Deputy Chairman Senate takes notice of registration of FIR against Senator Mustafa Khokhar

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Chairman Senate Saleem Mandviwalla Friday took notice of the First Information Report (FIR) registered against Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.

In a letter, Saleem Mandviwalla sought reply from Minister of State for Interior Shehryar Afridi and Secretary Interior. The deputy chairman Senate wrote the letter to the state minister for not informing him about the registration of FIR against Senator Mustafa Nawaz Khokhar.

The Interior Ministry violated the Senate rules, he said adding Interior Ministry had assured that Senate rules would be implemented.

He asked as to why Senate rules were violated and demanded an explanation for the violation.
