KARACHI: Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razzak Dawood Monday said the present government was making efforts to extend all out support to the business community for stabilizing the country's economy.

He stated this while addressing a seminar on Trade Opportunities in USA, China and Indonesia at a hotel here.

He appreciated the growth of rice industry in the country and said that rice exports surpassed US$2billion in financial year 2018 and it was very impressive that the rice industry was focused to achieve the exports target of $5billion.

He said that rice industry was at the top in the country and it has produced excellent results.

All traders and businessmen, especially, the rice industry, will be provided every possible support to help achieve their set targets, he added.

He suggested that the traders and businessmen of the country should also go overseas to build their networks all over the globe. We can also built multi-national networks like other nations, he added.

He advised to the members of business community to devise long-term planing and avoid formulating short-term policy.

He called upon the chambers and associations of commerce and industries to build groups to give their inputs with regard to Pakistan's Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) with other countries.

Razzaq Dawood said all businessmen will be provided level- playing field to grow further and contribute in the economic development of the country.

Earlier, the representatives of commerce associations and members from traders and business community presented the problems which were being confronted by them.

They also presented their suggestions to bring further improvement in the various sectors to strengthen the economy.
