SHANGHAI: Chinese shares were up 0.21 percent in morning trade Friday, as a cut in bank reserve requirements aimed at boosting the domestic economy took effect, dealers said.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index, which covers both A and B shares, was up 5.04 points at 2,414.60.
China's central bank cut the reserve requirement ratio for commercial banks by 50 basis points from Friday to ease restrictions on lending.
