On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,463. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR5.954 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,335.
Major business was contributed by currencies through COTS amounting to PKR 1.835 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.320 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 1.173 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 868.484 million, SP500 PKR 267.215 million, silver PKR 177.463 million, platinum PKR 141.274 million, natural gas PKR 86.806 million, DJ PKR 47.659 million, copper PKR 27.247 million and Brent crude oil PKR 7.767 million. In agriculture, 3 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.527 million were traded.
