On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,473. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.128 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,255.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.573 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.036 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 764.563 million, NSDQ100 PKR 533.557 million, platinum PKR 505.769 million, silver PKR 210.018 million, DJ PKR 180.383 million, SP500 PKR 145.662 million, copper PKR 101.105 million, natural gas PKR 45.243 million and Brent crude oil PKR 31.522 million.
In agriculture, 12 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 20.312 million were traded.
