The Pakistani forces greeted Eid-ul-Fitr celebration to Afghan border security officials at Torkham border. Commandant Khyber Rifles, Colonel Farrukh Humayun flanked by wing Commander Lieutenant Colonel Mubashir, Tehsildar Shams-ul-Islam and other officials visited the zero point of the border.
The officials of the both sides met warmly with their counterpart Afghan officials and on behalf of government of Pakistan greeted Eid -ul-Fitr to the Afghan officials.
They presented bouquets and sweets to the Afghan forces and convoyed best wishes from the people of Pakistan to their brothers Afganis. The Afghan officials headed by Muhammad Sadiq also congratulated Eid greetings to the Pak officials and thanked them for honoring them on the important religious festivity of Eid.
Officials of the both neighbouring countries conditioned stability and prosperity of the Pakistan and Afghanistan for establishment of cordial relations between them.
Prior to it like elsewhere in the country Eid ul-Fitr was observed in Khyber with religious fervour. The believers attended the Eid prayer gatherings, organized in open fields and the Mosques across the Khyber distract where strict security measures had been adopted to avoid any untoward incident.
