ALSO begins at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan

Advanced Life Support in Obstetrics Course (ALSO) has started at College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan Regional Center Lahore. Professor Duncan Edches from Canada was the guest in this Course. Professor Rakhshanda Rehman, Principle Fatima Jinnah Medical Collage (FJMC) welcomed the guest in this ALSO Course. Professor Mahmood Ayaz, Director National Residency Program CPSP briefed the participants about ALSO Course.
He told that CPSP is Organizing this course in its 14 regional centers all over the country included Karachi Head Quarter, Islamabad and Lahore Center. He told that CPSP organized 24 ALSO courses since 2015 till 2018 in which 505 doctors were trained by international standard training. CPSP also Organized 7 ALSO instructor course in which 87 senior doctors were trained to become instructor in this course. After becoming instructor they can give internationally standard training to the young doctors.
Professor Khalid Masood Gondal, Director General International Relations CPSP told that In Pakistan specially in rural areas, the death ratio of women's during the birth of baby is very high. This course will train the doctors to provide best health facility to the patient during pregnancy and Baby birth that will be help full to reduce the death ratio of women. On this occasion, Professor Mahmood Ayaz, Professor Muhammad Tayyab, Professor Rakhshanda Rehman, Professor Rizwana Chaudhry, Professor Brigadier Shahla Baki, Professor Lubna Aijaz, Professor Nudrat Suhail, Professor Shamsa Humayun, Professor Noreen Akmal and other senior professors were present.
