On behalf of President of Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Corps Commander Karachi Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza conferred awards upon various military officers, junior commissioned Officers and soldiers in a simple yet impressive ceremony held at Malir Cantt on Wednesday.
The honours were awarded to the recipients in recognition of their act of gallantry, outstanding performances in their respective fields and for their long meritorious services.
Twelve Army officers were awarded Sitar-i-Imtiaz (Military), eighteen Army officers were awarded Tamghe-Imtiaz (Military) and an officer and five soldiers were awarded Tangha-e-Basalat. Medals of Shuhada were received by Next of Kins. A large number of military officials and relatives of Shuhada and Ghaziz attended the ceremony.
