Brazil Ambassador to Pakistan Claudio Raja GabaliaLins discussed different prospects as well as to find out the ways and means for enhancing the volume of bilateral trade in a meeting with president of Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI).
The Brazilian envoy lauded the efforts of business community of Sialkot in turning the city into a trading hub renowned around the globe. He assured that full cooperation would be extended to organize single country exhibitions between Brazil and Pakistan.
He also assured to resolve the problems faced by the business community of Sialkot in obtaining visa to Brazil. He appreciated the law and order situation in the country and said that Pakistan was a safe country. The Brazilian envoy further expressed his commitment for working with the Pakistani government to project a soft image of Pakistan around the globe.
He said that he was working on the establishment of Pakistan-Brazil Business Forum, and in near future Pakistan-Brazil Business Forum would start facilitating the people of both the countries. He also appreciated the role of women entrepreneurship in the business. President Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry(SCCI) Zahid Latif Malik said that the present trade volume was not reflective of the potential available in the two countries. He emphasized that immense possibilities and huge potential of joint ventures and cooperation in various feasible sectors may be exploited optimally to improve bilateral trade.
He suggested that both the countries should facilitate the single country exhibitions and encourage frequent exchanges of trade delegations. He also suggested that documentation and procedures required for exports to Brazil may also be relaxed and time for relevant registrations may also be shortened.
