Former Sindh Information Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on Saturday lashed out at the Sharif family and asked if Nawaz Sharif is an angel that is why his name is not placed on the ECL. Talking to media before appearing at the Accountability Court in Karachi, Memon said that neither they are barred from travelling abroad nor they require bail in their cases. "They even appear before the court in their vehicles," he said.
He said that they would not be arrested even if a verdict comes against the Sharif family as NAB has a different law for Punjab and Sindh provinces. "I voluntarily returned back to the country but what is happening with me is known to everyone," he said adding that there are several people who went abroad after cases filed against them and injustice against him was message to such people to stay abroad rather than to return and face the courts.
Speaking about his health issues, he said that he is yet to consult doctor as he was shifted to prison on court orders. Later, a witness recorded his statement in embezzlement of around Rs 6 billion in Sindh information advertisement case. The court hearing was later adjourned for 24 March and the defense counsel would argue with the witness on that day.
