Rise in street crimes in Islamabad

The city witnessed an increase in incidents of robberies, snatching at gunpoint, motor vehicle theft and kidnapping during the last week. Different police stations of the city registered nine cases of various kinds of theft, six cases of vehicle theft, two cases of kidnapping and one case of murder during the last week. The most favourite areas for criminal gangs were within the limits of Koral, Shahzad Town, Golra, and Karachi Company police stations.
Koral police station registered three cases including one each of robbery, murder and motor vehicle theft. One Sultan Mehmud informed Koral police that unknown armed persons riding a bike snatched cash and a mobile phone from him at gunpoint.
Another Muhammad Naeem filed a complaint with Koral police station that one Mursaleen Khan has allegedly killed his brother Muhammad Saleem. The thieves stole a bike bearing registration number ARR-641 of one Iftikhar Ahmad.
During the last week, Shahzad Town police station registered one case each of robbery and kidnapping. One Muhammad Rizwan filed a complaint with Shahzad Town police station that unknown people have kidnapped his sons. In another incident, unidentified robbers stole gold ornaments, cash, watches, cheque book, registration book and other valuables from Muhammad Niaz's house.
In the aforementioned period, Golra police station registered two cases each of robbery. One victim Zubair Ahmad informed Golra police station that unknown bandits broke locks of his house and stole gold ornaments, cash, an LED, a laptop and other valuables.
In another incident, Muhammad Faizan filed a complaint with Golra police station that unknown robbers broke locks of his shops and stole cash, mobile phone, and one biometric device etc. Motor vehicle thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIN-7073 of one Muhammad Yasin. Another victim Shahzad Hussain filed a complaint with Karachi Company police station that unknown armed robbers stole his purse, containing cash and other valuables.
