Pakistan's premier motorsports event Cholistan Desert Jeep Rally, organized by Tourism Development Corporation (RDC) of Punjab, is commencing from 15th to 18th February. Event will be sponsored by Indus Motor Company for the fourth consecutive time. MoU has been signed between Indus Motor Company (IMC) and TDCP here in Lahore for the same.
Around 9 foreigners from Gulf countries and Thailand, in addition to about 100 local drivers, are expected to take part in the event this year. The rally's 450 km long track will be divided into two loops. CEO IMC, Ali Asghar Jamali said 'IMC is playing a vital part in promoting motorsports in Pakistan and sponsoring Cholistan Jeep Rally is the testimony of our commitment. This is perfectly in line with Toyota's sporting spirit of adventure and excitement. Platforms like these offer a unique opportunity to the motorsports' enthusiasts of the country to showcase their talent. This also gives an opportunity to test the durability and reliability of our vehicles on various terrains. We feel immense proud that over years, Toyota vehicles have become the preferred choice for many rally drivers.
The qualifying rounds will be held on the 15th Feb and final race is set to take place from 16th to 18th. There will be 2 categories in the rally.-PR
